Lady GaGa In London

OK so I was able to go to a small concert for an artist called Lady GaGa. She is definitely an up and coming artist who has been on the TV show The Hills and has done countless other performances. We were the first ones to get tickets, first to be in line, and first in the building. All in all it was a FANTASTIC and FUN time!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures and video's!!!

This is a video that one of the people who went shot and clipped together

Technically Challenged... In London

Ok just to let everyone know. My computer decided to freak out this morning and it wont go to the desktop something about there being a error in the software, so i have to wait till my mom finds the disk and sends it to me to be back "online"... you may be asking how is it that i am writing this very blog, well my flatmates are nice enough to let me use their computers for checking my emails, but i don't want to download all my photos and things on their computers so until further notice i am "offline".

Till i get my computer fixed,

Nicole

Im in London...and its Dank

This past week was really good. It was the first REAL week of school. i go to school tuesday through thursday from 9-2. Its not really that bad, because when i get done with school i still feel like i have the whole rest of the day to do things. On Tuesday i went to the Natural History Museum and it was nice but i think the best part of it was thats its free. In there i saw things about dinosaurs, marine life, space, earth. There was a huge globe that was really cool. The museum is about 2 blocks away from where im staying. Wednesday the whole group went to Moonlighted in Soho which on wed nights is called Cheapskates its a dance club for students. So i bought some shoes before i went out to cheapskates however they HURT SOOO BAD! so we left the club, my feet in an immense amount of pain. So Jenni my little mini-me was soo kind to switch shoes with my (thank God). Thursday a group of us went to Whole Foods for food tasting. Then last night which was friday, the group of us went to Imperial College's pub. Had fun meeting our neighbors and some students from the surrounding area. Anyways this was a good week with some good times all rolled inside.

We have a stage 5 clinger... In London

ok so the last blog i did was on friday so i have the weekend and today to catch up on......so this weekend wasnt all that crazy, i went to a local pub and had some bomb food! Went out walking around town to explore... we went to this all british festival, except that there wasnt anythign really british there so that was a big let down, however it had some amazing shopping there. I found my clear umbrella that i really wanted and i bought a nice coat and scarf at H&M. Tonight we went to go see the play Spamelot which was amazing. All in all it was a relaxing carefree weekend, but it all ends soon because i start school tomm. bright and early at 9 in the morning.

popup bathroom that comes up literally form the ground

on the way to spamelot with the girls from FLAT 1

the all british things fair...that was aweful because it was like a small farmers market and thats it

I'm in London...Like it's my job

Day #3

So today we had a bus tour of the city at 10 in the morning which lasted about 2 hours, we saw sooo much that i seriously cant remember everything that i saw. Like where harry potter, spiceworld, and finding neverland was filmed. All i know is i saw alot of places that i need to go back to. After coming back home we had another tour however this time is was a walking tour at 2:00. It was pouring rain for the first hour and extremely hot the next. We walked to imperial college and Kensington park and palace where princess diana lived, being as it was just the anniversary of her death there were lots of flowers and pitures everywhere. After that we went to Kensington High Street where we went shopping. Made dinner then decided to go walking around town with Maggie and ended up at the market again so we got things to make Kenzookies (pazookie in Kensington) then around 2 a.m. went to sleep. Another good...long...eventful day

Not Going To Lie... I'm in London

-- Day 2 --

Thursday we all woke up suprisingly early after our first night out. we were out of the house by 10 and we went to go shopping for everything we needed. So we decide to head to BOOTS first (drug store) to get there we have to pass the pub we were at last night. And by everyones suprise, steph's man "the turk" was standig outside. SO we thought we would just wave and say hi but go on our way. So steph wants atrbucks which is right across from BOOTS so she goes inside and "he turk" follows her inside. So we all start to laugh until we realize that this guy isnt going away. So we say bye again and we head to BOOTS across the street and the dude follows us into BOOTS then to Sainsbury's (market) all the while holding Steph's things making all of us laugh and then telling us where he lived which happens to be right next to school (LOL). So we are still shopping when "the Turk" leaves us, we finish up shopping and we literally had an overflowing basket of everything that we needed but it only cost 20 pounds so it wasnt bad...HOWEVER what was bad, was our brilliant idea to carry everything home because it wasnt a long walk. Mind you it was a short walk with nothing in our bags and hands. So we walk home finally and unload everything. Then we head over to school for a mandatory orientation that lasted for 2 whole freaking hours. But at the end of it we got our oyster (tube&bus) pass. so about 7 of us needed to get cell phones so we all decide to take the tube and go get a cell phone from a place we looked up. Of course we get on the wrong line and get off on the wrong exit but we found a place that cost the same amount of money.Jess, Steph, Lucas, Fletch, and me go out to Nandos for dinner. I then came back home took a shower then did a video chat with my mom until it was 3. All in all it was a long good day

So here it goes...O before i forget all the title are sayings, phrases, or words that i have heard and picked up over here followed by "I'm in London" ..ok so enjoy

Day#1

So i left LAX and was headed for London Heathrow airport. Saying goodbye to all my friends and family was so hard, but i knew i was going to be fine. Plus i convinced myself that it was going to be such a short amount of time so that calmed my nerves. Anyways i met up with a fellow 49'er. We took the same flight and we were going to share a cab from the airport to our place. So i was already completely exhausted before getting on my flight becausei had stayed up all night to pack (WHICH WAS SO DIFFICULT). So i get on the plane and they just announce that the flight was going to be about 10 hours. So i get out my ipod and wouldnt you know it...the dang thing was dead. So there was one thing, but luckily Virgin Atlantic flights had movies, tv, and music so everything was fine. So not only could i not fall asleep on the plane, but around hour 7 my hip and knee bones started hurting :( and these are problems that i have off a plane so it was annoying me. Anyways i land in heathrow and i get through customs with no problems and then i get the lovely task of getting my luggage (o did i mention they were both almost exactly 50 pounds plus a stuffed carry on and a packed backpack) so we go find a taxi, but seriously my bags were so heavy that my arms were sore :( so the drive from airport to home was like 30 minutes but our driver was hilarious...he was such a bad driver flipping people off, almost hitting people and cars, running red lights, you name it he did it. Finally i get to Manson Place (mi casa) and both lucas and i are on the bottom floor, so as you could expect it was interesting to take all my stuff downstairs...So im in flat #1 (woo woo) and i have 3 (thats right 3) roommates named stephanie, Jessica, and maggie. I have my own bed, there is a living room with couches, tv, and dinning table, there is a full kitchen, and bathroom. So after unpacking we all start to try and plug our stuff into the outlets when we realize that they dont work. So then we start to go around the flat and we realize that the fridge/freezer was not plugged in so we had to plug that in, there was no water pressure or hot water, and that there was no electricity, and to top it off we didnt even get the welcome bags that we were suppose to get. So as you can imagine all of us were freaking out a little because a flat with no outlets for girls is just ridiculous. So we have our first floor meeting and we proceed to tell the people everything wrong with our room. As it happens, the fuse box was turned off for us so all we needed to do was to flip the switch and everything was fine. So then we were forced to take a "tour" of the city. It had to be the worst thing ever no one knew where the hell we were and to top it off out "tour guide a.k.a one of the RA's" just left us at our school and basically told us to find out way back home. So we all go back to our flats and get showered and we decide we want to go hit a pub for some food as a welcome to our first night. We stumble across this one place called the stanhope arms and we go in to eat some fish and chips. So the night ended around one o'clock in the a.m. basically keeping me up for over 30 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! All i knew was that the first night was amazing...and we all had the feeling that this was going to be an amazing semester!!!!
